Families whose unified benefit is set to be received by December 31, 2024, will receive it twice next month. The first payment for November will arrive in early December, while the December payment will be made at the end of December (specifically for those who receive funds in the first few days of the month, on the 3rd). — Families whose benefits are assigned until December 2024 should also take note. Applications for extensions can be submitted in December 2024 or January 2025. The benefit will be assigned in accordance with legislative requirements starting from January 2025. It’s important to consider that if the extension application is submitted in December 2024, the income calculation period for the family will be from November 2023 to October 2024, and the minimum living wage will be based on 2024. However, if the family submits the application in January 2025, the minimum living wage will be based on 2025, — she explained.
Therefore, when deciding when to submit an application for extending the unified benefit, families should consider the differences in income during the specified calculation periods, as well as changes in the regional minimum living wage.
At the regional level, certain categories of families will receive New Year gifts or payments. According to the legislation of the Kamchatka Territory, an annual monetary payment is provided for the purchase of New Year gifts for specific categories of citizens living in Kamchatka. This payment is granted automatically to families that meet certain conditions. For example, large families with children under 16 years old. Payments are also provided for children with disabilities up to 18 years old.
— The annual monetary payment for purchasing New Year gifts from the regional budget amounts to 600 rubles, while those living in the Koryak District and the Aleut Municipal District in Kamchatka will receive 700 rubles, — added Oksana Krasovskaya.
In Nizhnevartovsk, an additional social assistance measure has been established for the New Year in the form of a one-time social payment for the purchase of New Year gifts for children for the following categories of citizens: one parent who is a member of a public organization for a specific category of citizens with a child (or children) under 14 years old; children under 14 years old who are under guardianship, including those raised in foster families.

In the Leningrad region, families with children will also receive New Year gifts. The right to receive this additional measure applies to minors aged 3 to 17 years inclusive (age is considered as of December 31), who have a residence or temporary residence in the Leningrad region and belong to privileged categories. For instance, children with disabilities; minors (excluding children with disabilities) receiving social services in social welfare organizations; minors from large families who are recipients of social support measures, with a per capita income of 10,000 rubles or less; orphans and children left without parental care.
The New Year gift consists of a set of confectionery products that meet the requirements of the GOST standard "On the Safety of Food Products," as well as technical regulations, state standards, technical specifications, and other regulatory and technical documentation for this type of goods. The New Year gift is provided free of charge, and compensation for its cost is not provided.
Additional social support measures are also available in the Zabaykalsky Krai. There, gifts will be given to children from families entitled to certain benefits. For example, children from large families or orphans.
In the Kursk region, children residing in Kursk, aged 1 to 17 years inclusive, are entitled to receive New Year gifts. In particular, children facing difficult life situations, including orphans and children left without parental care, as well as children from low-income families.
