The Prime Minister of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin, expressed his condolences regarding the passing of the People's Artist of the RSFSR, Raisa Maximova. This was reported on the government’s website.

Mishustin emphasized that Maximova's departure is a significant loss for the culture of Russia and all its citizens.

“In Raisa Viktorovna, a dramatic talent and the skill of transformation were harmoniously combined, allowing her to portray numerous memorable roles on stage and in film,” noted Mishustin.

Raisa Maximova passed away on December 11 at the age of 95. She was discharged from the hospital on November 29, having suffered from pneumonia and heart problems. She played roles in the film adaptation of Dostoevsky's novel "The Idiot," the drama "Widows," and in the series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit - 2." She also participated in performances at the Moscow Art Theatre named after A.P. Chekhov.
