The third installment of the epic historical action film "Gladiator" is set to begin filming only in 2026. This information was reported by Production Weekly.
According to journalists, the shooting of the sequel will take place in Morocco and Malta. Paul Mescal will reprise his leading role from the second film. The main reason for the delay is likely due to the actor's busy schedule. Currently, reports indicate that he is preparing to portray musician Paul McCartney in a biopic about The Beatles.
Previously, director Ridley Scott stated that he had already started working on the script for the third part. Details about the plot of the continuation of the cult film remain unknown.
