The director of well-known horror films, including "Doctor Sleep" and "Gerald's Game," Mike Flanagan is set to create a movie featuring a villain from the Batman comics named Clayface. This was reported by Variety.
It is confirmed that the film will be produced by Matt Reeves, the director of "The Batman" starring Robert Pattinson. This indicates that the movie will be part of his superhero cinematic universe, which also includes the series "The Penguin," rather than the revamped DC universe led by James Gunn.
Filming for the Clayface movie is expected to commence in early 2025. Currently, Flanagan is working on the script, similar to his approach with previous films.
Critics previously received the series "The Penguin," featuring Colin Farrell, with great enthusiasm. Several episodes of the show even ranked among the best episodes in television history.
