The ideal snacks for your teeth are cucumbers, carrots, peppers, and celery. They are rich in water, which helps remove food residues, and contain vitamins that strengthen tooth enamel. This was reported in an interview by Victoria Radyko, head of the orthodontics department at the EUROKAPPA clinic scientific clinical center. According to her, it is advisable to consume fewer canned vegetables, as they increase the acidity in the mouth.

Regarding cheese, the specialist suggested keeping low-fat varieties like cheddar and gouda on the New Year's table. She also recommended eating more berries, as they are high in vitamins and low in sugars.

“Yogurt and desserts made from soft cheese are not frequent guests at the festive table. But they should be! They do not negatively impact teeth. Such products help maintain an optimal level of acidity in the mouth and strengthen enamel due to their calcium content,” Radyko emphasized.

The doctor warned that increased tooth sensitivity can be an unexpected issue during the New Year celebrations. The cause of this condition can be the food and drinks that fill the average menu, such as pineapples, lemons, pickles, soda, and of course, alcohol.

All these products, according to her, have an aggressive effect on tooth enamel.
