In the Velsky District of the Arkhangelsk Region, a local resident is set to face trial for attacking his disabled son after the son refused to assist with household chores. This information is reported by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the region.
According to the investigation, in September 2024, a drunken resident of the village of Shilovskaya had a quarrel with his adult son. The father was displeased that the 46-year-old man was not helping him with household tasks, and during the argument, the furious father grabbed a metal pot and struck his son several times on the head.
The injuries sustained by the victim were later assessed as causing moderate harm to health. A criminal case was initiated against the villager, and during the interrogation, the accused admitted his guilt and explained to the investigator that he became angry with his son for refusing to help around the house and beat him. The investigation materials have been submitted to the court for consideration.
Previously, it was reported that in the Penza Region, a son abused his elderly parents. The 40-year-old villager subjected his 70-year-old mother and 77-year-old father to humiliation and regular beatings. The domestic tyrant was apprehended by the police. A criminal case has been opened against the suspect for torture, and he could face up to seven years in prison.
