The Zamoskvoretsky District Court has chosen a measure of restraint for the individuals involved in the case concerning the organization of illegal migration. This information was reported by the unified press service of the courts of general jurisdiction in Moscow via their **Telegram** channel.
According to the press service, five of the individuals involved have been sentenced to two months of detention.
“Regarding the other individuals, the court granted the investigator’s petitions for the imposition of house arrest,” the statement reads.
According to the investigation, the individuals in question, as part of an organized group, facilitated the illegal stay of foreign nationals in Russia for unlawful monetary compensation. The court's version states that the perpetrators provided fake employment contracts and registration for migration purposes.
On December 18, eight members of a gang were arrested in Moscow, who organized the illegal migration of more than a thousand foreigners to Russia through fake employment contracts. The investigation revealed that the illegal activities of the perpetrators took place from January 2023 to December 2024. They earned over 30 million rubles through their fraudulent schemes.
According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, searches and raids were conducted during the investigation. Law enforcement seized cash, counterfeit documents, and blank forms.
