The reduction of funding for children's art schools in Moscow is not under discussion, stated Alexey Fursin, the head of the Moscow Department of Culture, in his Telegram channel.

“Funding cuts, teacher layoffs, and school closures have not been discussed and are not being discussed. These issues have not been on our agenda,” Fursin emphasized.

He mentioned that the department is holding meetings with school leaders and teachers to assess the year's outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

“Any changes, if they do occur, will certainly be discussed in advance with the professional community, school directors, and educators,” Fursin added.

Fursin also urged people to rely on official statements rather than rumors circulating online.

Previously, rumors about the closure of children's art schools in Moscow had spread on the internet.
