In the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg, a schoolgirl walking home from a museum was struck by a chunk of ice, and she has been hospitalized, reports “78.ru”.

The incident occurred on Staroderevenskaya Street. The girl was leaving the Optics Museum when a block of ice fell from the roof and hit her on the head. The 15-year-old schoolgirl was admitted to a children's hospital with a diagnosis of soft tissue contusion.

Details regarding the victim's condition are unknown. An investigation is underway regarding the incident.

Previously, it was reported that in the Moscow region, an icicle fell on a woman who was moving her car at the request of the janitors who were clearing the roof of ice. The injured woman sustained serious injuries to her eyes and nose and required hospitalization. The foreman responsible for the roof cleaning admitted his fault but noted that he could not have anticipated that someone would exit the building through the back door, as he was certain it was locked. The man was found guilty of performing work that did not meet safety requirements, resulting in serious bodily harm due to negligence. The court imposed a fine of 100,000 rubles on him.
