Fitness expert Kelly Sturm has revealed the secret of pyramid walking for weight loss. Her insights are shared by Men Today.
Sturm stated that pyramid walking is a structured training method that allows for walking at various intensities and speeds to increase the number of calories burned. She emphasized that this type of walking enables a gradual increase in effort, making the workout both challenging and manageable.
To begin, start with 3–5 minutes of light walking. Next, walk briskly for one minute, followed by two minutes of even faster walking. After that, walk at an even quicker pace or on a steeper incline for three minutes. Then, push yourself to walk at full intensity for four minutes. Conclude the workout by slowing down and walking at a reduced pace for three minutes, followed by an even slower pace for two minutes.
Previously, fitness expert Akulina Bakhturina revealed the benefits of 15-minute workouts. The main advantage of shorter sessions, according to the expert, is the savings in both time and money.
