Russian tennis player Diana Schneider shared in an interview with the YouTube channel BetBoom Tennis her plans for spending the prize money from winning silver medals at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
“I don’t have a specific plan to spend this amount right away; mostly it just stays in my bank account. I’ll probably use it for a vacation next year,” the athlete stated. She mentioned that she consults with her parents regarding her expenditures.
Previously, the Minister of Sports and head of the Russian Olympic Committee, Mikhail Degtyarev, announced that Schneider, along with Mirra Andreyeva, would receive bonuses for winning silver medals at the 2024 Olympics.
Andreyeva and Schneider secured second place in the women's doubles event. In the tournament final, they lost to the Italian duo Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani. The athletes were the only ones among the 15 Russians participating in the competitions who managed to win medals.
